Your group will create an advertisement designed to promote your renewable energy source. Your advertisement should be very creative, original, eye-catching, and attention grabbing. Remember, you want the City Planning Board (a group of random teachers, including your teacher from this class) to choose your company as their energy supplier. Your advertisement should include a visual/audio of some sort (whether it is a poster, acting something out, etc.), and all group members participating and speaking. The presentation should take 3-5 minutes. PRACTICE SHOULD BE EVIDENT!!!! (Memorize your lines, make eye contact, do not read from screen or cards, speak loudly and clearly, dress appropriately – you are representing your company!) See the rubric below for how the City Planning Board will be evaluating your group. Once you have a plan, please get it approved by your boss (teacher) before continuing.

Suggestions for your advertisement. (You don’t have to follow these)

Rubric

This is the same rubric that will be used to grade your advertisement presentation to the Energywatt City Planning Board (A group of random teachers including your teacher from this class). Please follow the guidelines to make sure you get all the credit for this project. Remember, this will count as a TEST grade. All categories apply to all members of the group. Thus, if one person isn’t prepared, he/she can cause the group to lose points for that category.
